The Tall Ships

this is not a tall ship but one of the many ways people chose to view the ships-we saw everything from kayaks, to outriggers to ferries, and this voyageur canoe.

I think this is one of the 2 used in the Johnny Depp pirate movie

After standing in line for about 45 minutes to board a ship, and not moving we got out of the line and jumped into one of the little ferry boats(center of picture) known in Victoria as the "Victoria Pickle". We got a great close-up view and a running commentary about everything .
These boats by the way were starrted in Vancouver by an ex-Mountie (a very smart one-rich too) and now they are in Victoria and Nanaimo.

I just got back from a fast trip to Alberta to deliver Michellie home, and to see the Ball clan
Jamie & Carly participated in a triathalon in Cochrane for the 4th time-swam, biked and ran their hearts out

Auntie M gave Devon a bubble machine for her birthday. She will be a Kid of Steel next year.

Snail in the garden

Michellie & I found this guy climbing on the clematis.
Seemed friendly enough so he came in for a visit.

Still there today-doesn't seem to be doing any damage so he's welcome.
