Strange coincidence

Jamie took this picture on the front porch in Calgary the same day I took mine in Powell River.
Looks like both of us are getting nesting robins.
By the way she's 12 and an amazing photographer...

Mrs Robin builds a nest

Being bird lovers, we are thrilled that our back garden has become filled with birds.
This lady is building a nest in the cedar tree right beside our deck. Hubby does none of the work but follows her around and stands guard while she works.
The vine on the fence is a Montana Clematis-almost in bloom

Our potato patch

Dave, at a local garden center has invented these reusable bags, Lined with a plastic webbing, they are ideal for planting in. We are doing potatoes-seed potatoes at the bottom, gradually adding dirt as they sprout until the bag is full of potatoes. We'll let you know.....

I'm not coming in....

Just home from a long walk and this little 16 year old isn't ready to quit.
That's 112 in people years. We can visualise life without a dog, but she's not ready to leave yet!!!!

I was going to take a picture of the bergenia -lots of pink flowers yesterday, nothing but stems today-the deer had a snack.
